This is the fourth year for the We Media conference. Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore defined an agenda for media at We Media 05 hosted by The Associated Press in New York; BBC Managing Director Mark Thompson, Reuters CEO Tom Glocer, Al Jazeera Managing Director Wadah Kanfar, actor Richard Dreyfuss, Earth Institute founder Jeffrey Sachs and UN special advisor Nitin Desai participated in the We Media Global Forum in 2006 hosted by Reuters and the BBC in London; Craigslist founder Craig Newmark, Monster and Eons founder Jeff Taylor, Time Inc. Executive Editor Sheryl Tucker, Youtube sensation Happy Slip, and a host of other social media experts, creators, investors and entrepreneurs participated in We Media 07 in Miami.
